Dr. Jose Rizal



Jose Rizal( Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal Alonso Y Realonda ) was born to Francisco Engracio Rizal Mercado Alejandra II and Teodora Morales Alonso Realonda Quintos. Is the pioneer of the Philippines and pride of Malayan race. Was born on June 19, 1861- December 30, 1896. He was the seventh child in a family of 11 ( 2 boys and 9 girls ). His parents were well educated and belonged to recognized families. Rizal proved his knowledge and skills for learning at a very young age when he learned his letters from his mother and could read and write at the age of five. A man of unbelievable intelligent capacity, with impressive artistic talent as well. He exceed at anything that he pull his mind to - medicine, poetry, sketching, architecture, sociology, and etc.

Rizal pursue his medical studies in Paris and Heidelberg. In 1886, he distributed his first novel in Spanish, Noli Me Tangere, a stimulated betrayal of the evil of the frais rule, comparable in its effect to Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle tom's Cabin. A sequel, El Filibusterismo, 1891, stabilized his authority as the leading spokesman of the Philippine reform movement. Jose Rizal is a martyr on historic of the 1896 military punishment, during the Philippine Revolution. Rizal begin the local organization La Liga Filipina, a messenger to the katipunan. The katipunan was a rebellion organization established in 1892, to gather the forces to rebel opposing Spanish colonialism. Rizal accommodate the institutional reforms over the passion of revolution.

He was the protector of achieving Philippine self-government appropriately through institutional amendment rather than through fierce crime, eventhough base on "violent means" as last affect.
