Case Study: "Rumors" by Marie Alcantara

John and Anna are twitter users. John followed Anna on twitter and they became close friends. After their class, they went home right away to go on twitter, they were so excited to talk to each other again. It's winter break they're so happy because they can talk to each other the whole day. Unfortunately on the 3rd day of their winter break, Anna's computer got broken because of Trojan virus. John was really worried about what happened to Anna, he doesn't even have any idea. John really missed Anna so bad, and he just realized that he fell in-love with Anna. One week later, Anna's computer was fixed by her classmate. John asked out Anna and Anna answered yes. It's been 8 months in their relationship when John used twitter again, he met a new girl and started to be friends with her, he did the same thing like he did to Anna. Anna can't go twitter because their term exam is approaching, she's not updated anymore and her boyfriend used it as an opportunity to cheat on Anna. One day, Anna's best friend used twitter and found out that John is flirting to another girl, her best friend told to her but Anna didn't believe her, so she go on twitter to know if her best friend is telling the truth. Until she knew that her best friend is right, right away she went to her best friend's house to say sorry, her best friend forgave her. Anna is really mad at John and she spread rumors about him. But John ignored Anna.  

Photo Analysis

The author wants the viewer to feel, to be a good example to those young children, attracts peoples attention and you can easily picture out what kind of personality she have which are: very well educated, professional, positive thinker and open minded. there are Variables of Photography used in this photo, Camera Angle, Lighting and Proximity.

The kind Variables of Photography used for Camera Angle is Camera at Eye Level, a normal and formal picture. Lighting, Sufficient Light because there's more color showed in the picture and it looks brighter. And Proximity, Medium ( Torso and face ) because it's not that close. There are 3 different props used by the subject, they're jewelries, hairstyle and make-up. Jewelries, use to express attitude. Depends on selecting good jewelry, that make someone different on how it might suit or comfortable to use. Hairstyle, every period of time has different style of fashion including hairstyle. She have had "short" haircut, something different image and likely associate on what is trends. Make-up, use for face. To enhance every details, such as; eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and etc.. Put some color to become more lively and lovely. In short a device that helps to renew appearance.

It can be seen as an artistic impression.She belong to high society family just because she is the daughter of President Johnson. She's also a respectable type a person.

Advertisement persuasiveness

 I described the ad as Entertaining, in order and well organized ad. The techniques used in the advertisement are humor, fun, friends and wealth. I think the particular techniques of persuasion were used to promote the product is because they want to attract people to buy iced-coffee in McDonald.I therefore conclude that the advertisement somehow convincing because, in my opinion, there should be the all 10 techniques of convincing, with that the people will be amuse, entertain and buy the product.

Persuasion

  Persuasion  is  the act  of   convincing  the  attention  by  debate  or  apology  granted,  or  by  whatever  that  maneuvers  the  mind  or  approach  the  aim  to  a  decision.  A   firm  conclusion.  The  condition   or  truth  being  convinced.  A  way   of  thinking. 

   This pass few days, we played a game like guessing game. My partner will give me an example of a picture or a video and I will guess and answer if its humor, macho, family, friends, fun, nature, cartoon, celebrity or wealth.

  Entire  members  of  a  family  under  one  roof.  Compose  of  one  or  more  adults  together  including  the  children  they  protect.

  An  individual  who  offers  assistance.  A  person  who protects,  listen  and  comfort  someone's  heart.

• Fun
  Source  of  joy.  Cheerful,  often noisy. 

• Nature
  Living  Thing-  plants,  trees,  bodies of water.

• Cartoon
  Movie  or  television  program.  Drawings  in  the  news  paper.

• Celebrity
  Fame.  Widely  known  person  or  well  known  star.

• Wealth
  A  large  amount  of   money  or  belongings.  Large  amount  of  number.

Dr. Jose Rizal

Jose Rizal( Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal Alonso Y Realonda ) was born to Francisco Engracio Rizal Mercado Alejandra II and Teodora Morales Alonso Realonda Quintos. Is the pioneer of the Philippines and pride of Malayan race. Was born on June 19, 1861- December 30, 1896. He was the seventh child in a family of 11 ( 2 boys and 9 girls ). His parents were well educated and belonged to recognized families. Rizal proved his knowledge and skills for learning at a very young age when he learned his letters from his mother and could read and write at the age of five. A man of unbelievable intelligent capacity, with impressive artistic talent as well. He exceed at anything that he pull his mind to - medicine, poetry, sketching, architecture, sociology, and etc.

Rizal pursue his medical studies in Paris and Heidelberg. In 1886, he distributed his first novel in Spanish, Noli Me Tangere, a stimulated betrayal of the evil of the frais rule, comparable in its effect to Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle tom's Cabin. A sequel, El Filibusterismo, 1891, stabilized his authority as the leading spokesman of the Philippine reform movement. Jose Rizal is a martyr on historic of the 1896 military punishment, during the Philippine Revolution. Rizal begin the local organization La Liga Filipina, a messenger to the katipunan. The katipunan was a rebellion organization established in 1892, to gather the forces to rebel opposing Spanish colonialism. Rizal accommodate the institutional reforms over the passion of revolution.

He was the protector of achieving Philippine self-government appropriately through institutional amendment rather than through fierce crime, eventhough base on "violent means" as last affect.
